K J Somaiya College of Engineering, Mumbai started its journey in the year 1983. It was founded by Padmashri Karamshibhai Jethabhai Somaiya. It is the first engineering college to get accreditation by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) in 1997. It is a very famous engineering college in the state of Maharashtra. It has a sprawling campus of over 60 acres, in Vidyavihar, in the heart of Mumbai. It has got Grade 'A' from the Government of Maharashtra. The college maintains a good relationship with the leading industrial organizations of the region by extending consultancy services and through industry-institute interaction programs.
